Video: Soars, “Throw Yourself Apart”

Soars – “Throw Yourself Apart” from Jamie Harley on Vimeo.

Earlier this month, I gave a pretty resounding review of Lehigh Valley group SOARS, and now, we have a video to match it! One of my more favorite tracks from the album, “Throw Yourself Apart” is directed by Jamie Harley. According to the press release, Harley “fused together clips from the 1960 Japanese horror film Jigoku” which balances beautifully with the urban-decay sound of the group.

Soars’ debut self-titled album is out now on limited 12″ colored vinyl, CD and digital download courtesy of La Société Expéditionnaire.

They are also playing some shows in their native state to the north of the Mason-Dixon, I’m hoping to eventually catch them if they head south to my area of the world.

Soars tour dates:
11-03-10 Garfield Artworks – Pittsburgh, PA (w/ Masaki Batoh of Ghost, Kohoutek)
11-07-10 Pi Lam – Philadelphia, PA (w/ Pop. 1280, Hot Guts)
11-27-10 Johnny Brendas – Philadelphia, PA (w/ Aunt Dracula, Sore Eros, Procedure Club)
