New Cloud Nothings Out 9/7 (UPDATED)

In case you can’t tell, we (or at least I) love Cloud Nothings. Dylan Baldi’s project is definitely one of our favorite things to ever come out of Cleveland or the state of Ohio in general. What makes the band so enjoyable besides the energetic live shows and catchy bedroom pop rhythms is that you never know where Cloud Nothings music will pop up next.

Sure, there’s the 7″ due out October 12 on True Panther. Then there’s Baldi playing acoustic on the streets with The Fader. Not to mention a barrage of singles and splits with a variety of bands.

The latest Cloud Nothings track to fall into my lap came today when I logged onto Tumblr and saw yvynyl reblog a post from cassflick that contained the new track “I Apologize.” As time goes on, Cloud Nothings tracks get more and more melodic, which makes the prospect of the new 7″ and the new album early next year all the more exciting.

According to cassflick, “I Apologize” is the last track of the Cloud Nothings side of a split tape with Kevin Greenspon (MySpace) due out September 7 via Cass/Flick.

Also, the Cloud Nothings Twitter is back, so follow them @cloudynothings!

UPDATE: According to an email from Greenspon, the split will also be available in CD form on September 7 as well and he has also provided us with a picture of the CDs.
